TOS3.0

Trace Oxygen (O2) Sensor TOS 3.0

Sensor head (SK) and sensor control and display unit (SKE)

The trace oxygen sensor TOS 3.0 is a miniaturized amperometric limit current sensor for measuring low oxygen partial pressures. It is based on the use of ceramic solid electrolytes with optimized electrochemical and thermomechanical properties. It does not require a reference electrode that could be worn out over time. All parts are solid and the measurement does not lead to an increase in the water vapor pressure (as is the case when using conventional liquid electrolytes and recycling the gas). The sensor is selective for oxygen and requires no maintenance.

Voltages and currents are controlled and measured with the highest precision by a separate or integrated sensor control and display unit (SKE), which also contains precise temperature control.

The large format (20mm) LED display directly indicates the oxygen partial pressure in ppm with high precision at each oxygen partial pressure.

The sensor head (SK) is connected to the SKE with a cable of variable length (typically 3 m). It can be delivered free-standing or integrated into gas-tight bushings (e.g. flanges or individual parts).

Typical areas of application

All applications that require inert (oxygen-free) atmospheres, e.g

- Inert gas ("dry") boxes and chambers

- Semiconductor/chip production

- Food packaging
